Gas & Electric Stove Repair in the Quad Cities

Gas appliances are not a do-it-yourself project. We are insured and experienced with gas cooktops, and we service electric coil, radiant and glass-top surfaces as well. Whether a single burner will not light or the whole cooktop is dead, we diagnose it properly and leave the gas connection leak-checked.

What this repair includes

  • Spark igniter, spark module and burner cap service
  • Surface element and receptacle block replacement
  • Infinite switch and control knob repair
  • Gas valve and orifice cleaning or replacement
  • Radiant and glass-top element replacement
  • Gas connection leak check on every gas visit

Brands we service

We work on all major residential brands, including Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Amana, Kenmore, Bosch and more. Have the model number handy when you call — it is the fastest way for us to confirm we can bring the right part on the first trip.

Sound familiar?

These are the failures we see most often on this appliance — and what is usually behind them.

Burner clicks but will not light

A wet or cracked spark igniter, or a burner cap seated wrong. Often fixed in minutes.

One electric burner is dead

A failed surface element, burned receptacle block or an open infinite switch.

Gas smell near the range

Shut off the gas and call the utility first, then call us. We do not take chances with this.

Glass cooktop will not heat evenly

A failed radiant element or an infinite switch that is no longer cycling correctly.

All burners clicking constantly

A shorted spark module or moisture in the igniter switch harness.

Flame is yellow or uneven

A blocked burner port or an air shutter out of adjustment — a combustion issue worth correcting.

Gas & Electric Stove Repair — questions we get a lot

My gas burner clicks but never lights. Is that dangerous?

It means gas is flowing while the spark is not igniting it, so you should stop using that burner until it is repaired. The usual causes are a moisture-soaked or cracked igniter, or a burner cap that is not seated squarely. Both are inexpensive, same-visit repairs.

Do you work on glass and induction cooktops?

We service glass-top radiant cooktops routinely. For induction, call us with the model number and we will tell you honestly whether it is a repair we can complete.

Can you replace a cracked cooktop surface?

Glass cooktop replacement depends on parts availability for your model. We will price it against a new appliance and tell you which is the better spend.

Greg was recommended to me and they said if Greg can’t fix it you’ll probably have to buy new. He was prompt, honest about what was wrong, and completely professional. In my 57 years he is the most honest and personable repair man I have ever met.
