Range Repair in the Quad Cities

An oven that runs a hundred degrees cold ruins everything you put in it, and it usually comes down to one inexpensive part. We repair the full range — bake and broil elements, gas oven igniters, temperature sensors, door hinges and control boards — on freestanding, slide-in and wall-oven configurations.

What this repair includes

  • Bake and broil element replacement
  • Gas oven igniter and safety valve service
  • Oven temperature sensor testing and calibration
  • Electronic oven control board diagnosis
  • Door hinge, spring and gasket replacement
  • Thermal fuse and high-limit cutout replacement

Brands we service

We work on all major residential brands, including Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Amana, Kenmore, Bosch and more. Have the model number handy when you call — it is the fastest way for us to confirm we can bring the right part on the first trip.

Sound familiar?

These are the failures we see most often on this appliance — and what is usually behind them.

Oven will not heat at all

A burned bake element on electric, or a weak igniter that never opens the gas valve on gas ranges.

Runs too hot or too cold

A drifting oven temperature sensor. We measure actual versus set temperature and recalibrate or replace.

Broil works, bake does not

Points straight at the bake element or its relay on the control board.

Oven door will not close flush

Sagging hinges or a compressed door gasket letting your heat out.

Control panel is dead or frozen

A failed electronic oven control board or a tripped thermal cutout.

Self-clean left the oven dead

Very common — self-clean heat blows the thermal fuse. Easy fix once you know to look for it.

Range Repair — questions we get a lot

Why is my oven not reaching the temperature I set?

The most common cause is a drifting oven temperature sensor, which tells the control board the oven is hotter than it really is. We measure the actual cavity temperature against your set point, then either recalibrate the control or replace the sensor — usually a same-visit repair.

My oven stopped working right after I ran the self-clean cycle.

That is one of the most common calls we get. Self-clean cycles run extremely hot and frequently blow the thermal fuse or damage the control board. If you know self-clean was the last thing you ran, mention it when you call — it usually lets us bring the right part on the first trip.

Do you repair wall ovens and double ovens?

Yes. Freestanding ranges, slide-in ranges, single and double wall ovens are all within our scope.

Need range repair today?

Call and talk to a technician, not a call center. Same-day service in most cases across the Quad Cities.

Greg was recommended to me and they said if Greg can’t fix it you’ll probably have to buy new. He was prompt, honest about what was wrong, and completely professional. In my 57 years he is the most honest and personable repair man I have ever met.
