Appliance Brands We Service

We repair all major residential brands across Rock Island, the Quad Cities and every community within 50 miles. Pick your brand to see what we commonly fix on it.

Why the brand on the door matters less than you think

Nearly every residential appliance sold in the United States comes out of a handful of factories. Whirlpool builds machines that carry the Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Roper and Estate badges. Electrolux builds Frigidaire. Kenmore was never a manufacturer at all — a Kenmore washer is a Whirlpool, an LG or an Electrolux depending on the year and the model number.

That is why the model number matters more to us than the name on the front. It tells us who actually built the machine, which parts platform it sits on, and whether the failure you are describing is the one that platform is known for. Two badges we have never seen before can turn out to be the same drive system underneath.

What genuinely does change by brand is parts availability and how the machine is put together. Some brands are open about service documentation and cheap to source parts for; others are slow, expensive, or have quietly discontinued the board you need. We will tell you which category yours is in before you commit to a repair — including when the honest answer is that the part costs more than the appliance is worth.

So use the list below as a starting point rather than a gate. If your brand is not on it, that usually means we see it less often, not that we turn it away.

Do not see your brand?

This list covers what we see most often, not everything we work on. Call with the brand and model number and we will tell you straight whether it is a repair we can complete.

Brand questions

Do you repair every brand on this list?

Yes, and plenty that are not on it. The list covers what we see most often in Quad Cities homes. If your brand is missing, call with the model number — that usually means we see it less often, not that we turn it away.

Who actually makes my appliance?

Often not the name on the front. Whirlpool builds Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Roper and Estate. Electrolux builds Frigidaire. Kenmore was never a manufacturer at all — a Kenmore machine is a Whirlpool, an LG or an Electrolux depending on the year and model.

Does the brand change what a repair costs?

It changes parts availability more than labour. Some brands are cheap and quick to source parts for; others are slow, expensive, or have discontinued the board you need. We tell you which category yours falls into before you commit to anything.

Why do you keep asking for the model number?

Because it identifies the parts platform, which the brand name alone does not. Two badges we have never seen together can share the same drive system underneath. The model number is usually on the door frame, under the lid, or behind the kick plate.

Do you work on high-end and built-in appliances?

Yes. Counter-depth and built-in refrigerators, French-door units and higher-end ranges are all squarely in what we do. We do not decline a repair because the appliance is expensive.

Greg was recommended to me and they said if Greg can’t fix it you’ll probably have to buy new. He was prompt, honest about what was wrong, and completely professional. In my 57 years he is the most honest and personable repair man I have ever met.
