Working with us

Do you charge extra to come out to a rural address?

Short answer

No. There is no travel surcharge, mileage fee or zone pricing anywhere inside our 50-mile radius. A rural address in Henry or Cedar County pays exactly what an address in Moline pays.

Why the radius is 50 miles and not 20

Because out in the county the nearest alternative is frequently an hour away or booked a week out. A washer that stops working in Aledo or Tipton is the same problem as one that stops working in Davenport, and the person in Aledo has fewer options, not more.

We make the distance work by grouping jobs into runs in each direction rather than by charging you for the drive. That is why a town forty miles out is scheduled rather than same-day — the trade-off is timing, not price.

Rural routes and acreages

Rural route addresses are completely normal for us. Give us the address, any landmark that helps, and tell us which building the appliance is actually in so we park in the right place. A detached garage or an outbuilding laundry is not a problem if we know about it.

How to find out where you stand

Every community inside the radius has its own page listing the county, the approximate distance from our shop and the route it sits on. If your town is not there, call and ask. If we genuinely cannot reach you we will say so plainly and try to point you toward someone who can.

Still not sure how this applies to your machine? Call and ask — we would rather answer a question over the phone than have you guess. We cover Rock Island, the Quad Cities and every community within 50 miles.

Short answers. Each one has a page of its own if you want the reasoning behind it.

What actually happens during a service call?

We arrive inside the window, protect the floor on the way in, diagnose the actual fault, tell you what the repair costs, and start only once you have agreed. More than nine times out of ten it is finished on that visit.

Do you work with landlords and property managers?

Yes, regularly. Tell us who is authorising the repair and how to reach the tenant when you book, and we coordinate access and invoice the right party. The awkward part of rental work is communication, not the repair itself.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are fully insured, we work both sides of the river across Iowa and Illinois, and every repair we make is guaranteed. Save Your Appliance is family owned and owner-operated by Greg Albertson.

Do you work on my brand of appliance?

Almost certainly. We service every major residential brand, and the ones listed on our brands page are simply the ones we see most often. If yours is not listed, that means we see it less, not that we turn it away.

Appliance down? Let’s get it fixed.

Same-day service in most cases across the Quad Cities and 50 miles around. Talk to a real technician, not a call center.

Greg was recommended to me and they said if Greg can’t fix it you’ll probably have to buy new. He was prompt, honest about what was wrong, and completely professional. In my 57 years he is the most honest and personable repair man I have ever met.
